Day 1:Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

Depart from your hotel at 8 a.m. for Mai Chau, home to the Thai ethnic group. Cycling along the Da River in Hoa Binh offers a captivating journey through some of Vietnam's most picturesque landscapes. From Hoa Binh City, cyclists can follow the river's meandering path as it winds through lush green valleys and rugged limestone cliffs. Lunch will be served on the way After lunch, the route presents a mix of smooth paved roads and scenic trails that pass through traditional villages inhabited by ethnic minorities such as the Muong and Thai people. These villages offer glimpses into their unique cultures and lifestyles, with opportunities to interact with locals. When we arrive at Mai Chau. Check-in at a local guesthouse, a traditional stilt house owned by a Thai family. In the afternoon, enjoy a bike ride through verdant hills. If weather permits, explore nearby waterfalls nestled amidst thick foliage. Return to the village for dinner and an overnight stay with our hospitable Thai hosts. What does the 'Homestay' experience? Your accommodation, a traditional stilt house, is hosted by a local family. There are no private rooms; guests sleep communally on mattresses with duvets, pillows, and mosquito nets provided. The toilet facilities are of international standard.

Day 2:Mai Chau – Pu Luong Nature Reserve (B, L, D)

  • Accommodation: Pu Luong Ecolodge – private bungalow
After breakfast, bid farewell to your host family and embark on a cycling journey westward, covering approximately 40 km towards Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Traverse through the rugged jungle terrain from the west to the east side, following a narrow yet accessible path. The total cycling distance today is about 50-66 km, offering breathtaking views of valleys and rice terraces. Along the way, pass through villages where you can engage with residents and immerse yourself in their daily lives. Arrive at Pu Luong Ecolodge, nestled between two rivers at the base of a karst mountain. Take time to unwind and rejuvenate amidst the natural beauty, exploring nearby waterfalls and natural swimming pools near your private bungalow. Pu Luong Ecolodge (Hieu Baths) is situated in the heart of Pu Luong Nature Reserve and can only be reached by motorbike; a short walk is required upon arrival. The lodge features three traditional bungalows, each equipped with a veranda, though air conditioning is not available. Shared toilet facilities are located conveniently near your bungalow

Day 2:Pu Luong - Hanoi (B, L,)

Today's itinerary is flexible. Cycling distances range from 30 to 40 km, allowing you to choose activities based on your preferences in consultation with your guide. Options include a relaxed day at the Ecolodge, leisurely walks in the surroundings, canoeing in waterfalls, or an early departure to dedicate more time to cycling. Enjoy lunch en route before returning to Hanoi by car, with an estimated arrival around 6 pm, depending on the morning activities.
