Vietnam Ranks Among the Top 20 Most-Loved Countries Globally by Tourists
The renowned American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has just announced its 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards. According to the results, Vietnam ranks among the top 20 countries most loved by global tourists, placing 15th on the list with a score of 89.11/100. This ranking highlights Vietnam as a culturally rich destination, admired for its diversity. The results were compiled from over 575,000 reader reviews, evaluating travel experiences in each country based on culture, landscapes, tourism services, and infrastructure.
Readers of Condé Nast Traveler praised Vietnam for its rustic and captivating beauty, which continues to draw visitors from around the world.
Increasing International Interest in Vietnam’s “Hidden Gems”
More and more international travelers are expressing interest in discovering Vietnam’s hidden gems, from charming towns and traditional villages that showcase the unique cultural identities of each region to the rich natural diversity of this tropical land. Reflecting this growing attraction, Vietnam welcomed 12.7 million international visitors in the first nine months of 2024—a significant 43% increase compared to last year, surpassing the entire year’s total of 12.6 million visitors in 2023.
The National Tourism Administration has observed this positive growth trend, noting that some markets have fully recovered. With this momentum, Vietnam is projected to reach its target of 17-18 million international visitors by the end of 2024.
Vietnam’s Prestigious Awards at the World Travel Awards
Condé Nast Traveler also highlighted the numerous prestigious awards that Vietnam’s tourism sector recently received at the World Travel Awards. For the sixth consecutive time, Vietnam was honored as “Asia’s Leading Destination.” The country also received titles such as “Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination” and “Asia’s Leading Nature Destination,” reaffirming Vietnam’s position as a vibrant and multifaceted travel destination that offers diverse experiences. These accolades strengthen Vietnam’s brand and image as an attractive destination with various cultural and natural experiences that draw both domestic and international travelers.
“Vietnam is no longer just an emerging destination; it is now a must-visit location,” Condé Nast Traveler declared, underlining the country’s increasing popularity and growing reputation in the global tourism market.
