Recently, Hanoi was honored in three top global categories at the Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Destinations 2025 by Tripadvisor, the world’s leading online travel platform.
This year, Hanoi secured spots in the following categories: Top 25 Cultural Destinations in the World (ranked 2nd), Top 25 Destinations in the World (ranked 7th), and the special Top 25 Most Beloved Destinations of All Time in celebration of Tripadvisor’s 25th anniversary (ranked 14th).

“Having withstood the test of time under various names, the thousand-year-old capital has never forgotten its proud history. Landmarks such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Hoa Lo Prison stand as clear testaments to this legacy,” Tripadvisor noted.

The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best is a prestigious award from Tripadvisor, recognizing excellence in the travel industry. This accolade is given to destinations and establishments that receive the highest number of positive reviews and ratings from the global community over 12 months. According to Tripadvisor, fewer than 1% of the 8 million destinations and businesses listed on its platform receive the Best of the Best award.
