Bodybuilder Khanh Lan wins the Asian amateur cycling championship
Asian Bodybuilding Champion Ton Hoang Khanh Lan Stuns Vietnamese Fans with Cycling Gold On February 12.
Ton Hoang Khanh Lan competed in the women’s mass start event for the 45-49 age group at the 2025 Asian Cycling Championships in Thailand. Representing Vietnam in the amateur category were also Pham Minh Nhan (35-39), Truong Thi Quynh (30-34), and Hoang Thi Hang (45-49).

At the finish line, Khanh Lan delivered a stunning sprint to overtake Mongolia’s Dorchimed Erdenetuya, securing Vietnam’s second gold medal at the event. Earlier, Hoang Hai Nam claimed gold in the Men’s Individual Time Trial for the 60+ age group.
Khanh Lan: The ‘Muscle Queen’ Turned ‘Speed Queen’
Ton Hoang Khanh Lan is no stranger to Vietnamese sports, as she was once a top-tier bodybuilding star and was crowned the Asian champion in 2018.
From lifting heavy weights in the gym to powering through sprints on the saddle, Khanh Lan’s transition has been one of the most remarkable and rarest shifts in Vietnamese sports.

Before being selected to represent Vietnam at the Asian Championships, she had already made a name for herself in Vietnam’s amateur cycling scene, competing in major races such as the Northern-Central-Southern Grand Unity Ride 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Amateur Team Time Trial 2024, and the National Amateur Road Cycling Championship 2024.
Following this victory, Khanh Lan will return to bodybuilding to win the 2025 National Championship.
