The Vietnam – Japan Friendship Cycling Program 2025 kicked off the series of activities for the 10th Vietnam – Japan Festival, which opened on March 8. The event attracted thousands of residents and members of the Japanese community studying and living in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, emphasized that the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Cycling event is a special occasion for both countries to share the meaningful values they have built throughout their cooperation and development.
According to Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, this cycling event is not just a sporting activity but also carries a profound message of strong friendship between the two nations. It reaffirms the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World” between Vietnam and Japan.
Additionally, the event promotes a green lifestyle, environmental protection, and public health awareness—values that both countries are striving to uphold.

The friendship cycling route spanned a total of 4.6 km, starting from Ba Son Station (part of Metro Line 1, Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) and passing through Ton Duc Thang, Ham Nghi, Le Loi, and Le Lai streets before reaching the 23/9 Park area in District 1.
