Vietnam wins 2 gold medals at the 2025 Asian Road Cycling Championships
Vietnamese amateur female cyclist To Hoang Khanh Lan clinches gold at the 2025 Asian Road Cycling Championships in Thailand.

On February 12, athletes from Vietnam’s national road cycling team continued competing in various events at the 2025 Asian Road Cycling Championships, currently taking place in Thailand.
In the amateur women’s age group categories, Vietnamese cyclists To Hoang Khanh Lan (45–49 years), Pham Minh Nhan (35–39 years), Truong Thi Quynh (30–34 years), and Hoang Thi Hang (45–49 years) faced off against competitors from Thailand, Hong Kong, Iraq, Pakistan, and Mongolia.

In the 45–49 age group, To Hoang Khanh Lan delivered an impressive sprint finish, overtaking Mongolian cyclist Dorchimed Erdenetuya and teammate Hoang Thi Hang to claim first place and secure Vietnam’s second gold medal at the continental championship. This marks Khanh Lan’s first-ever title at the Asian level. The other Vietnamese cyclists—Pham Minh Nhan, Truong Thi Quynh, and Hoang Thi Hang—also brought home bronze medals.
This is Vietnam’s second gold at the tournament. On February 8, veteran cyclist Hoang Hai Nam claimed silver in the men’s 60+ individual time trial (10.7 km) with a time of 15 minutes and 30 seconds.

This is the first time Vietnam’s amateur cyclists have competed at the Asian stage, and their achievements mark a significant milestone for the country’s sporting scene.
The 2025 Asian Road Cycling Championships are being held in Thailand and will run through February 16.
