Three brothers (5-10 years old) cycled 50 km to find their father out of longing
Because they missed their father, three young siblings from Dak Lak cycled nearly 50 km to Dak Nong in search of him. Fortunately, kind-hearted locals found them and ensured their safe return home. The children, aged 5 to 10, have a difficult family situation—their father works far away, while their mother has been absent for years.

A Journey Driven by Longing
On the evening of March 1, their grandfather, Hoang Van Cao, returned home from work only to find his grandchildren missing. Alarmed, he searched the neighborhood and asked for help from residents. Some scoured nearby areas, while others checked security cameras and posted about the missing children on social media.

At around 11:30 p.m., news arrived—the three siblings had been found at Tay Nguyen University in Buon Ma Thuot, nearly 50 km away. They had made the journey on two worn-out bicycles with broken pedals. A concerned local had provided them with food and was waiting for the family to arrive.
A Difficult Childhood
The children—H.V.K. (10), H.V.B. (8), and H.T.T. (5)—were born and raised in Dak Nong. Their mother disappeared in 2021 while working in Binh Phuoc and has not been heard from since. With their father working in a remote area, their grandparents took them in to provide stability and education.

Recently, the children frequently expressed their longing for their father, borrowing their grandparents’ phone to call him. However, due to his demanding work and their school schedule, a visit had not been arranged. Finally, their longing became too much to bear, and they set off on their own.
“We tried our best to care for them, but nothing can replace the love of their parents,” their grandmother, To Thi Luc, shared. Now, she plans to stay home to support them, ensuring they feel safe and loved despite their circumstances.
